BetMGM recently launched the Borgota Bingo app to the New Jersey gaming market. The new app is a big move by the company to open up the US online bingo market in one of country’s most robust gambling markets.
Though online bingo is incredibly popular in the UK, it’s yet to really find an audience in the United States, where bingo is usually associated with in-person charity events. BetMGM is hoping that Borgota Bingo will change all that, while giving their signature New Jersey property a boost in the market. That said, Americans are likely very unfamiliar with UK-style online bingo and its interactive hosts and atmosphere.
Company officials are calling the new app the first real-money, 75-ball bingo product to hit the US market. They’ll also be offering a 90-ball bingo option for NJ players.
Not surprisingly, the Borgota Bingo app is being marketed to slot players and is closely integrated with Slingo and other BetMGM online slots. Online slots, it should be noted, are one of the most robust sectors of the already robust New Jersey online gambling market.
In recent press release, Matthew Sunderland, Vice President of Gaming, BetMGM described his company’s foray into bingo world saying, “Borgata Bingo provides players with an engaging digital gaming experience – one that builds upon the fun of live, in-person bingo. We’re pleased to introduce this first-of-its-kind platform as we further expand the Borgata brand online.”
BetMGM is currently New Jersey’s top online casino operator, accounting for a full 30 percent of the state’s gross gaming revenue.
