What is wrong with you?

They have referenced them in the post. They were simply sharing and i appreciate it. That is not being lazy – its showing respect for an article with a link back.

@GFPC

1. why not just link to the original post instead of making a weak ‘copy’?
2. Do you think that CAP added ANY extra value to the original post?
3. Do you disagree that CAP could have just linked to the post instead of ripping it all off.? [why recreate when you add 0 extra insight/value?]

This is as close to theft as you can get imo. Remove the hyperlink and you pretty much a clone of the original. Cap even stole the pictures and made local copies. I daresay they had no right to do so.

I don’t see the point in ripping off peoples’ ideas and posting them on my site when I can link to the original source – as is the spirit of the internet….

Maybe I am just old-fashioned in that I expect people to create value, not try to parasite on the work of others.

open your eyes

edit: I tweeted this thread URI @ the REAL author of the REAL Original Post to see what he thinks.

Ian Lurie ‏ @portentintLazy, 3rd-rate ripoff, but bottom line I don’t care that much about it. Doubt anyone goes to their site anyway. <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />”

Valid points being made here. It definitely wasn’t our intention to rip-off articles, though I can clearly see why this article is concerning. The images should have been properly cited in this article, and the article should have offered more of an analysis of what was being discussed. We’re working to continuously improve and step our game up, though every single article may not be perfect. I will make sure your feedback is taken into account.

Also, just replied to your PM.
