How long did it take you?

Yvette asked 3 years ago
If you are just starting out or have been in the business for a long time. Ideally, how long did it take until you started seeing some money in the bank?? How much time did you spend to increase that revenue?

I was just turned 18, when I published my site. The first month I got 200$ from PartyGaming. It was big money for a student.

Started in 2005 and was profitable almost immediately. In 2006 I thought I was going to quit my day job and work on my website(s) full time. Then came UIGEA and I am down to just a trickle of income from promoting online gaming.

Mostly its just an intriguing hobby for me now. I like to write and also see if I can come up with a winning marketing strategy. Affiliate payments are a nice bonus.

Do you guys feel like link exchange is helpful to get more traffic to your sites? If it does, would it be helpful to you if we had an area where you could just trade links with high PR sites?

“Money” would be extra revenue generated from having your site and getting players to it..so based on what you said you did make a good bit of extra change! :hattip:

I have a little cooking blog that i started out for fun but i would eventually like to see some revenue generated from it. From being in this industry I can see how a gaming affiliate site would fare much better chance at creating some extra income..hmmm maybe i should try that!

It took just over a year of sweat and tears. Things just took off at a super fast pace after that :hattip:
