How long did it take you?

Yvette asked 3 years ago
If you are just starting out or have been in the business for a long time. Ideally, how long did it take until you started seeing some money in the bank?? How much time did you spend to increase that revenue?

4 years, and I still have lots to learn….

However the learning curve is very steep and after 6 months or so I started to see real results.

Its hard to answer that when I`?m not sure what goes as “money”. I do this for fun as part of jsut being in general sport interested and having blogs. I made pocket money from the forst week and the foirst month I made enough to take my closest friend out on a saturday on my expence.

“Money” would be extra revenue generated from having your site and getting players to it..so based on what you said you did make a good bit of extra change! :hattip:

I have a little cooking blog that i started out for fun but i would eventually like to see some revenue generated from it. From being in this industry I can see how a gaming affiliate site would fare much better chance at creating some extra income..hmmm maybe i should try that!

I made money after 6 months of starting my first website, but it took 2 years to start making decent money on a regular basis. I think it took me so long because I didn’t really know what I was doing lol

I had a website way back in 2005, and it did fairly mediocre… I didn’t spend very much time on it, but somehow it started making money within about 6 months. I had to wait about a year before it made any meaningful £s.

I do wish I kept the site and domain running…

Took me a little bit more than 2 years, but I do not believe in time so I do not consider it a lot . I believe the later you start the more time might take, especially if you have no idea what you are doing. I was basically more of a blogger, my first year and a half before I was pointed in right direction.

I believe the key is not how long it took you or it will take you if you just starting, but to be fun for you and so you can stick with it even if it takes 25 years. So I guess u have to be a little stubborn, or a lot. If anyone new is reading, I hope this encourages you to continue, as not everyone started making money on their first month.
