If it were to get passed would there be any way that it could be taken off if there was a public outcry?
Port Bill has already passed Senate eaily, 80-18. The Dems are fighting on this port bill, but none of them will vote against this bill in the House.
This baby is over, and will be signed by Bush-League.
This whole thing is incredibly disgusting.
Just watching on C-SPAN and Edward Markey isn’t happy about them attaching the gambling bill to the port bill.
It doesn’t matter. The Dems did the same thing on the original bill, when House passed bill several months back. They are venting. Bottom line is no one is vote against the Port Bill.
Pork barrel politics at its worst (with the attachment of the IG bill at the last second)…..this typifies the way this administration has run the show for the last 6 years……
Exactly, and he’s asking them all to vote NO!
Sounds like this has to be passed again with a vote tonight.

I think they just voted verbally; now they are doing an electronic vote (for the next 15 minutes). From the sound of it, the bill passed the House.

Please all remember in 2008 when he is running for president that it was Senator Bill Frist who snuck this language into the bill.

What they just discussed was this is not a FINAL draft of the bill, there will be things taken out of it and added. There will be more steps to go before this is final.
Just heard this – the Senate will deem the bill passed in the Senate, if the House passes the bill in the House. :madat: :madat: :madat: :madat: :madat:
