Betclic Everest Joins iPoker

Betclic Everest Group is joining the migration of companies flocking to PlayTech’s iPoker Network.
This strategic move could help both businesses increase their foothold in the European market, especially in France. (The move includes both EverestPoker.com and EverestPoker.fr).
Playtech’s CEO, Mor Weiser emphasized the importance of the French poker market in a statement to the press:

The French market remains a priority market for us. We believe that the combination of BetClick-Everest Group, one of the leading operators in the French market, our technology solutions reinforces our strategy on regulated markets.

Marching to iPoker
Playtech’s decision to turn their iPoker Network into a two-tiered entity separating recreational and professional players has sparked a rash of moves by companies looking for a piece of the action. To join the higher end iPoker 1 tier, an operator must have a 6,000 person player base and bring in at least 800 new players a month.
The upside for tier 1 members is vastly increased access to players in an amateur-friendly format.
