Another Italian Deal for Playtech

September 22, 2008 (InfoPowa News) — The London-listed online gambling software provider Playtech plc has announced its third Italian deal in as many weeks with an online poker agreement with Sisal SpA, an Italian land-based and online gaming company. Sisal is the third Italian licensee on Playtech's Italian poker network after Snai and Gala-Coral's Eurobet Italia.

Under the terms of the license agreement, Playtech will provide Sisal with its full portfolio of poker games in tournament form. At present, the software is downloadable in a "play for fun" mode, which provides players with the opportunity to improve their strategies and hone their skills for free. A "play for real money'' mode is intended for launch later this year.

Both parties have committed to meeting all Italian regulatory standards, and the product has been designed to appeal to the tastes of Italian players and meet local market requirements, including appropriate language and currency. The product has been fully integrated with Sisal's systems in order to ensure a seamless gaming experience for the player.

Playtech CEO Mor Weizer commented: "We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with Sisal, who join Snai and Gala-Coral's Eurobet Italia on Playtech's quickly expanding Italian poker network. It is clear that the Italian ipoker network is gaining an even more prominent position in the Italian market with the Group becoming a significant player. Playtech plans to work with Sisal and other operators to provide an exciting gaming experience for Italian players and capture an even stronger market share."

Francesco Tiso, Chief Financial Officer of Sisal, commented: "Sisal has launched Sisal poker online and it was a great pleasure to come to an agreement with Playtech to implement this project. Playtech has a reputation as a high-quality and efficient partner and we believe Sisal's online poker will contribute to that reputation, providing security and fun for the benefit of our players."
