ICE and iGB Affiliate Postponed Over Omicron Concerns

ICE and iGB Affiliate London 2022 are being postponed due to increased concerns of COVID transmission due to the rapid rise of the new Omicron variant. The postponement is a slap in the face to organizers of the much-loved events and the sense of normalcy that their return would have brought.

The events’ postponements are certain to send a ripple of disappointment and frustration through the more than 700 exhibitors who were set to participate in the event. That disappointment is matched by the courage of Clarion Gaming, the event’s organizers , who are absolutely doing the right thing, though its certain to impact their bottom line.

In an official announcement, Clarion Gaming managing director Stuart Hunter expressed his disappointment over the affiliate conference’s postponement saying, “This comes as really disappointing news for everyone connected with ICE London and iGB Affiliate London. However, in what is a rapidly changing situation, it became clear that we could not provide the certainty that our customers need in terms of logistical planning, from the construction of stands to the transportation of equipment, as well as the booking of flights and accommodation.”

Hunter also said that his team is working diligently to re-plan the show for April. “Group managing director Alex Pratt, myself and the management team at Clarion Gaming will be working through the Christmas week and hope to be in a position by next Wednesday (22 December) to confirm the new dates for ICE London and iGB Affiliate London 2022,” he said.

ICE London and iGB Affiliate London organizers say that the shows were tracking to exceed 2020 attendance when the postponement hit.
