So how can affiliate newbies stay motivated, even as they wait for players to convert and revenue to start rolling in? The secret, we found out recently while talking with EuropeanSoccerStatistics.com founder Tundik “Hawkie” Zoltan.
Zoltan was more than happy to share his tips on staying motivated and, spoiler alert, most of them revolve around maintaining a positive attitude.

Online gambling is a massive business with plenty of nooks and crannies where affiliate marketing newbies can plant their flags. The key, in Hawkie’s view, is to just get out there and start doing it:

Motivation to succeed is probably all you need to venture in this great industry.
Hawkie is the first to admit that the road to success in casino affiliate marketing isn’t all sunshine and positive feelings. There will definitely be a bit of pain along the way and that’s a good thing:
Don’t give up! As one of my favorite motivational speakers said, the pain you are feeling is temporary. If you are already feeling this pain, and you give up, you will have that pain for life. Success comes after the pain and each and everyone one of us has felt it.
In short, you’re going to have some rough days as a casino affiliate but you’re definitely not alone. Hawkie suggests learning as much as you can about SEO, content marketing and web marketing techniques from industry webinars and forums.
He points out that the industry’s experts are just a click away via webinars and forums, so there’s no reason to not take advantage of their experience.
Excuses, Excuses, Excuses
Casino affiliate marketing is a labor-intensive business that demands real dedication, not excuses. Hawkie’s advice for newbies is to put the excuses away or head for the door.
If you say you don’t have time, it’s all lies, you have time for your friends, you have time to go out and party. It’s a funny thing that most of the affiliates have time to spend and perfect their skills when there is nothing going on around them. But if a certain soccer match kicks in, you don’t have time for anything else, that one and a half hour you spend in front of your TV could bring you other benefits if you use it the right way.
That doesn’t mean you have to over think what you’re doing:
The online gaming industry is still growing and it’s always easier to come up with the next great idea in this business. It’s not like you are inventing a new medicine, you need to make serious medical research for that, not to mention the medical background.
At the end of the day, staying motivated isn’t rocket science, it’s hard work.
