For your domain registrar i recommend 123-reg.co.uk

Yes they are good and reasonably priced, but there is one downside in that if you want to simply forward your domains elsewhere, their options for including SEO data/content is very limited.

Absolutely agree with Antoine:

…it would take is a small request from the US government to the Canadian government to shut down all forms of gambling and our government would obey…I also feel that it makes more sense to locate everything in the UK…

For now it is safe in Canada, but it can change at any moment when there will be a signal from the US. UK or another country in Europe is the way to go. This is a personal choice for me.
What I can not understand is that why are there complaints from old timers in the business who have been making over $100,000 per month? There are quite a few of them on the forum according to the polls. If they even lose 80% of their profits, staying with $20,000/ month, is it really so bad??? I am sure that it would still pay way more than many of regular ful-time jobs. Especially if all past years they have been investing previously earned money wisely. I understand that you get spoiled by earning BIG money, but there should be a common sense. Those guy should be laughing now! Only a couple of years in the business with this kind of earnings, and one can forget about any financial worries! This is my personal opinion.

I always thought the Canadian Gov. doesn’t like to be bullied by their neighbors to the south.

Can anyone recommend a Canadian domain registra?

Very doubtful you’d ever have a problem with the Aussie government, unless you were using a .com.au domain which Fabulous doesn’t offer.

Our domains are with Fabulous, that’s how safe I think it is.

Australia.

Fabulous have a very good rep, but online gambling is illegal there too though so there may be problems further down the line.

I feel that Canada is safe at this point in time, I just dont want to have to change everything around again in a couple of years. Recently we have elected a conservative government that is very pro-bush. While this government isn’t nearly as right wing as the bush family all it would take is a small request from the US government to the Canadian government to shut down all forms of gambling and our government would obey.

I also feel that it makes more sense to locate everything in the UK where online gambling is 100% legal and there are no grey areas.

I’m currently in the process of moving all of my hosting to the UK. I’m also wondering if anyone knows any good offshore domain name registrars. I’m currently with Moniker but I no longer wish to do business with any US based corporation. I feel that anything the further away from north america the better.

Antoine you don’t feel that Canada is safe ?

Can’t vote yet – I have not seen a layman’s interpreation of exactly what is in the bill.
