creativeone asked 3 years ago
So, what’s the average age of everyone around here?

Me, I’m 37.

I don’t think you’re comfortable in your own skin until at least your mid 30’s. Prior to that, you’re too busy remaking yourself into whomever you think you should be at the moment.

This is so true. I am 20 myself now and since I was like 17 the rat race (also me against myself) reallystarted for me. University, business ideas, politics, … I seem to want it all and it’s exhausting. Sometimes I envy those who can just sit back and relax without any clue about their future. The rat race is a funny game to play though.

Believe me that some of the posts here were truly inspiring. Never thought such a thread would be so interesting. I started a similar thread in a well known forum, and it was closed. It has so much replies that they thought people were bumping it. They don’t know what they missed, and how interesting it could be.
Thank you

They closed an age thread for bumping? That’s really sillyness What can we gain from bumpin this one.. aside from knowledge of each other… and maybe a bit of ourselves as well

You got your wish Elgog – I’ll be 53 in November and was still competing in Martial Arts kickboxing, although my career may be over since I just had fusion surgery on my back last month. Otherwise I’d be in Vegas this year w/ you all. I still feel 35 though and hope someone has a Tangueray and Tonic for me, just tip the glass and say cheers voovoo.

I don’t know LadyH. The only thing I know is that people were liking that thread, and participating a lot! I was even talking about a gentleman of 84 years, that just learned how to do computer design, and is an active poster in a tutorial forum.

An example of how adaptable we should be! Most people is age thinks that computers aren’t for them, but he isn’t afraid of learning.
I’m glad this community is more laid back…

I’m 11 – was a millionaire at 7 but had boozed or sniffed it all away by the time I was 9. But for legal purposes I voted in the 41-45 group

Bit worrying to see a vote for < 18 though!! Unless someone has a hang-up...

I’m 35 and feeling like I should have achieved more by now.

The only problem is that I’ve felt I should have achieved more every year since I can remember.

I now live in a house I own outright (no mortgage), have no debts, a gorgeous girlfriend, some cats and have an ego the size of Texas.

So I guess I’m doing OK, really. But I still feel that I should have done more.

Here’s the benchmarks:
When he died, age 33, Alexander The Great had conquered the known world.

When he died, age 33, Jesus Christ had come, redeemed the world and been crucified.

When he died, age 29, Hank Williams had reinvented country music and written at least half a dozen songs that are standards now.

I don’t think I’m competing, really.

Worries me none, gooo teenie bopper! My son (almost 11) recently asked me if he could build a website, yuppers! I sent him to the tutorial pages, hopefully he’ll be able to help me out with all of this php business here soon…

And then by the time he’s 15, if he learns to build a gambling portal, that will make him rich, his momma will be right there behind him, supporting him, and signing any legal contracts needed.

Shheeesh.. how many ppl here promote, and don’t themselves gamble?
