Google still showing casino ads

oasisx asked 3 years ago
Er, excuse me but weren’t google supposed to have banned casino ads?

I see no change when I do a search for casino, or casino bonuses. They saw fit to remove my listing but there are loads of others still up there, just blatant casino adverts.

What’s going on?

I don’t think they set May 1 as a death date. Both Google and Yahoo are still showing such ads in the US, but I doubt they will survive the month.

There was a date in one of my correspondences from Google of April 27, but I didn’t start seeing my ads get pulled until today.

When I spoke with someone at Google, they did indicate that actual humans will be exercising editorial discretion over the process of removing ads and approving new ads. So I would imagine they’re working away like good little soldiers.

Randy,

You think they will nix all gambling ads, U.S. or not?

Online pharma ads have to be squaretrade certified now, which is literally impossible given the questionnaire-only setup.

A real shame- what do you guys suggest for PPC now for gambling?

Yes–they’ll nix all gambling ads on Google. They were very specific about that in my conversatino with them.

I haven’t had much luck with any of the other PPC’s, but I can tell you a couple to avoid. Don’t give a penny to ePilot or Xuppa.

They’ve only pulled some of my ads, not all of them. My guess is that there is a bit of editorial work going on, and they haven’t gotten to everyone yet.

I’m not sure they ever got rid of the online pharmacy ads, but I haven’t checked lately either.

hi- long-time lurker, new to posting. Not new to affiliate programs (rx and porn), but just starting to give attention to my gambling site.

I have a dedicated server in the U.S.- does this mean I won’t be able to advertise on Google? It’s a register-by-proxy thing in the contact details for the domain.

I just switched to this provider, I still have a 30-day money back guarantee.

What exactly is neccessary to still advertise on Google? Can someone define “based in the US”? If I just edited the contact information for my domain, would that be ok?

Is Google likely to allow non-US to continue advertising? There is an Irish and a UK place I’m looking into.

What would you guys suggest?

Thanks.

Brilliant – I’ll cancel those job interviews I had next week.
