September 21, 2009 (CAP Newswire) — The World Series of Poker Europe has kicked off over the weekend at the Empire’s Casino in London, bringing the opportunity for four bracelets to be won by some of the game’s most elite players. .
Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Peter Eastgate, and Ivan Demidov are among those competing. The festivities officially kicked off on Thursday evening with Betfair’s Free Million Dollar game. There, Greece’s Anestis Metsas took the $1,000,000 prize.
