US Integrity is partnering with RealResponse on a tip line aimed at helping stem the rising tide of scandal involving sports betting and college and professional athletes. The Athlete Alert Powered by RealResponse, allows players and coaches to anonymously report potential integrity violations, match-fixing, and the misuse of insider information.
Anyone with information or concerns about potential integrity violations can text Athlete Alert Powered by RealResponse at 843-USI-TIPS (843-874-7477). The system works in the same manner as the anonymous tip lines used by police departments around the world, only 843-USI-TIPS (843-874-7477), only Athlete Alert Powered by RealResponse does not appear to offer cash rewards of any kind. (They must think the power of doing the right thing is sufficient motivation for potential tipsters.)
Speaking via a press release, U.S. Integrity Co-Founder and CEO Matthew Holt commented on the new tip line saying, “Nothing is more important than the health and wellbeing of the professional and student-athletes who have committed their lives to compete at the highest levels, and it is our job to help protect that paradigm. The implementation of Athlete Alert Powered by RealResponse is another example of how we help our partners to stay one step ahead of any bad actors. An anonymous text to 843-USI-TIPS can help limit and prevent acts or threats of physical and emotional harm or intimidation – while thwarting attempts to undermine the integrity of sports competitions.”
US Integrity is a key partner for a wide range of stakeholders in the US-facing sports betting business and this new tip line launch shows that those stakeholders are very concerned about insider information, match-fixing, and pretty much everything else that an integrity monitor does.
