November 30, 2010 (CAP PR Wire) — Microgaming Poker Network’s 2nd European Championships of Single Table Tournaments (ECOSTT) has been won by a Unibet player, Redjep Kurti, in a thrilling Main Event final in Gibraltar.

The exclusive €2,200 buy-in STT Championship ran from 18 to 21 November 2010 and combined the results of four individual No Limit Hold’em Single Table Tournaments. Players had the chance to accumulate points over four rounds with the 20 highest points’ scorers progressing through to the Main Event final. Players qualified to the ECOSTT through a series of online satellites offered exclusively on the Microgaming Poker Network, which also included entry through freeroll tournaments.

As first place prize winner, Mr.Kurti took home €30,000, whilst Mr. Logan walked away with €20,000 for coming second. Peter Varga, also of Unibet, finished in third place and took home €15,000.

In addition to the title and €30,000 grand prize, Mr. Kurti was also presented with an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean watch, as worn by actor Daniel Craig in the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace.

Mr. Kurti commented: “I’m delighted to have won the ECOSTT for me and my family. It was a pleasure to be in Gibraltar and the poker tournament was amazing. I have also won a fantastic watch which I will wear to play the next ECOSTT!”
