Report: Dwan Regains Lead

March 25, 2009 (CAP Newswire) — Cardplayer.com is reporting that Tom “durrr” Dwan has retaken the lead over Patrik Antonius in their epic, 50,000-hand showdown being played on Full Tilt Poker's website. Antonius had been slightly ahead this past weekend, but as of Tuesday, Dwan leads by a reported $67,000.

But that’s not exactly a huge lead given that the tournament is still well within its first half. After five weeks of play, Dwan and Antonius have dedicated “just over 20 hours to the challenge,” it was reported in the CardPlayer article.

“Players often buy into one of the four tables with somewhere between $40,000 and $60,000 at each table,” Stephen Murphy writes in the article, “So, Dwan’s lead represents little more than a single buy-in.”
