Radman Wins RNC Charity Event

September 8, 2008 (InfoPowa News) — The Poker Players Alliance / American Gaming Association charity poker tournament in aid of the Paralyzed Veterans of America attracted 100 supporters in Minneapolis mid-week despite the competing attraction of Sarah Palin's vice presidential acceptance speech at the Republican Party's National Convention in neighboring city St. Paul.

Adam Radman, the programs and communications manager for the Americans for Tax Reform organization, took the honors in the end in an entertaining evening that raised more than $70,000 for the charity, a worthy sequel to a similar event timed to coincide with the Democratic National Convention which raised a further $60,000 in late August.

Radman can be proud of his achievement against a top-rated field of poker pros that included luminaries such as 2004 WSOP Main Event champ Greg Raymer, Victor Ramdin from PokerStars, and Chris Wallace of the coaching site PokerXFactor.
