The NFL may be one of online gambling’s biggest opponents in the U.S., and Internet betting on sports games in the U.S. may be mostly forbidden, but that doesn’t stop the global Internet betting community from following the action, anyway.
Leading online sportsbooks like Unibet, Totesport, and BoyleSports and many others have released odds for the upcoming NFL playoffs, kicking off this weekend. Some of them even allow U.S. players — Intertops and TwinSpires, for example.
European-facing sites like Totesport and Unibet offer odds on American football, but it’s not emphasized. At North American-based Intertops, though, the NFL playoffs are a bit more at center stage. And that’s helpful to betting affiliates looking for an extra boost in traffic this winter.
Since some of these games — ok, three out of four — are anticipated to be pretty close calls, the online sportsbook odds are being fairly closely watched. At Intertops, for example, bettors will be interested to know that Philadelphia is favored to beat Green Bay, the Colts are favored over the Jets, and the Ravens are expected to knock out upstart Kansas City.
