Gibraltar-based 888.com has launched a major online poker tournament at WorldPokerCrown.com offering a guaranteed prize pool of three million dollars.
The competition has already begun and will run until May 10 with a third of the overall pool earmarked for the winner. In case the direct buy-in of $1,050 for the final is too steep, WorldPokerCron.com is also offering players a variety of online satellites for as little as $1.20.
In addition to the winner’s purse of one million dollars, ten percent of players will also share in a significant prize pool with the top eight contestants winning a place in the final televised offline event scheduled to begin in Barcelona on May 6. These players, accompanied by a partner, will be given free transportation from anywhere in the world along with five-star accommodation for the duration of the finals, which will be televised on Sky Sports 2 on May 12.
