5Dimes Comments on 'Tony' Disappearance

5Dimes management is reassuring clients and employees that all is well and operational at the company, despite the disappearance of its owner William Sean Creighton (popularly known as “Tony”). Tony has been missing in Costa Rica, where 5Dimes is based and where he’s lived for decades, since September 24.
The statement, which was given to Sports Betting Review, a central hub for sports betting news and information, read as follows:

Despite recent news, 5Dimes Group board of directors and its over 300 employees would like to reassure its clientele the fundamentals of 5Dimes Group operating model remain unchanged.
We continue striving to deliver the best gambling experience to our customers, always aiming to innovate in the industry with more and better betting options to choose from.
Our thoughts and prayers join the rest of the online gambling industry for Tony’s safe return to his family.

Since Tony’s disappearance, rumors regarding his fate have swirled around the island, and the online gambling world, but confirmed facts are relatively few. 5Dimes’ statement did little to clear the air, but that wasn’t really the point. Mostly, it appears, the company was eager to tell customers that it’s business as usual, which is to be expected.
Not surprisingly, Tony’s disappearance is turning into a big news story in Costa Rica, where tabloids are competing to come up with details regarding what appears to be a pretty sensational crime. Earlier this week, the tabloid Diario Extra reported that Tony’s Porsche Cayenne, which was found wrecked shortly after his disappearance, was intentionally driven into a fence.
Various other papers have reported differing figures on how much ransom kidnappers are asking for Tony’s safe return. Neither Costa Rican law enforcement nor Tony’s family have made any official statements regarding ransom or any contact with kidnappers.
This is still a developing story and more details are certain to emerge in the days ahead.
