Guest blogging involves contacting people directly and pitching them your post ideas. As a by-product you are building your personal network of contacts, which you can use later on for multiple purposes.

Joint ventures, affiliate promotions, you name it.

4. Spreading the Word

Guest posting is a great opportunity to spread the word about your ideas and projects. Whenever you write a guest post try to add some personal touch to the whole thing, something that can make you – the author – recognizable.

Which brings us to:

5. Gaining Authority

Being an authority in your niche is where the real money is made. People are just more likely to listen to you if they trust that your advice is the most accurate. This can be achieved (to some extent) through guest posting.

If you’re writing enough posts on a regular basis, people will naturally start to recognize you over time.
