May 21, 2009 (CAP Newswire) – The GTech Corporation has signed a contract with the Swiss firm Societe De La Loterie De La Suisse Romande (LoRo), the company announced recently. Under the terms of the partnership, GTech will implement a comprehensive interactive gaming platform for the Swiss company.

GTech will deploy its latest ES New Media solution beginning in 2009’s fourth quarter, along with four years of ongoing support services, according to the terms of the contract. The firm will also offer “traditional lottery-style games such as EuroMillions and Swiss Lotto alongside fixed-odds, horseracing and other sportsbetting titles in a multi-phased rollout,” the company announced in a news released.

As the Swiss market continues to open up under the terms of an easing of government restrictions, more opportunities are appearing for foreign gaming companies. Read more about the opening of the Swiss market here, and read more about GTech’s Swiss contract here.
