MGM Grand Is Ready To Play Online Poker

The Nevada Gaming Commission licenses are rolling off the approval assembly line with three more companies ready to operate in the state’s new intrastate online poker industry.

Number one is the big brand MGM Resort who secured a license along with two other up and coming but lesser-know companies: Z4Poker LLC of Las Vegas and CAMS LLC of Los Angeles.

To start MGM Grand has plans to put up just a Play-for-fun site soon, which will obviously become a real money site.  MGM also operates the myVEGAS social media site that is being developed and managed by Playstudios.

What makes this approval interesting is both MGM and Boyd Gaming are partnering with bwin.party entertainment plc, to offer real money poker.

At this time Bwin’s application is under consideration by the Nevada Gaming Commission and could be approved next year. Once they get the green light, this means both MGM and Boyd could go live with real money poker soon.  It will be up to Nevada commission to approve the Bwin application, which they see is totally independent of the other two companies.

Z4Poker was also approved and is now developing a poker system in conjunction with bingo and keno systems that potentially could be offered in other states as part of a network.

The other approval goes to CAMS, which is a vendor too the gaming operators with technology that manages online player accounts, identity of accounts, analyses issues with money laundering and checks problem gamblers.
