Poll: How much do you spend on marketing?

asked 3 years ago
Just wondering how much everyone spends/can expect to spend to make a casino affiliate website successful.

Heck, I didn’t even know what ranges to put into the poll.

Where there is competition, there is much to be gained by co-operating and aligning with the competition.

Fast food restaraunts know this: You’ll always find them in the save area of a city.

Of course, that’s for another reason………well, anyway, you can look at it this way. By helping each other grow stronger, we are allied against all the other competition.

And….when you’re sitting alone in front of a computer day after day, it sure is nice to have friends to share things with. You know what it’s like off-computer… You talk about the web business – google rank, ppc, uniques, et al – with friends and family and get met with that familiar glazed look.

By the way, nice post, King Badabing! hehe

Yes, we are competitors in a very competitive environment. Heck, even the places we work for increasingly compete with us!

There are surely some things all of us keep closely to our chests.

But we are also sitting in the same boat, and together we have the strength to determine it’s direction.

People used to have “guilds”. Like a shoemaker’s guild and a tailor’s guild. I think we are something like that, just informal.

Despite the fierce competition, there are lots of ways we can and need to cooperate.

By ourselves we are weak, but together we are strong!

Something that occurred to me about this board the other day as I was driving home from my job was how interesting it is that we’re all so supportive of each other.

Because when you think about it, we ARE competitors, in the sense that we’re competing for search engine rankings and we’re competing for casino customers.

The 21st century truly is the age of “coopetition”. And I think it’s wonderful that I’m able to receive so much support from everyone here.

Lol Badabing,

These words are definitely soaked in alcohol! <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

But they speak a lot of truths:

This board is better then any webmaster org! This board knows answers and solutions! We are theb god damned board of directors and our direction is dictated by all !!!!

We have a good purpose we watch the industry and know it well.

Newbies are welcome but always beware if you have good traffic and some of you do ….. Be careful as to what fuss we may make as whole though as well but when there is a problem we shall scream as a whole ….

And also:

l would advise not cutting a program to shreds in public less you know that this is a big patterns and as warning to aff programs we all chat and watch you from behind closed doors and windows

I think you’ll have to add some ranges. I currently spend over 10k a month.

I would say alot depends on the month as well ….

some months are just not good online months, such as summer vacation time etc …. It is a bit relative to how past stats and credit card transactions as well … Many factors effect the advertising budget on a month to month basis

Ok I moved your vote Kevin11 so the numbers should be accurate now

Opps…

Professor, I voted wrong and skewed the results. I voted on $5k per month or more but accidently factored in non-casino programs. My casino spend is in between $1K and under $5k.

Regarding the ROI aspects, I guess this is over a pre-determined period of time. I like to see a break even point within one month or two months, of player sign-up. Then the ROI will ideally increase each month since the player may continue to spend and earn money on your initial acquisition costs.

I figure a break even in the short-term is well worth it on net revenue deals. For CPA, I want to see at least 40% return and within one month.
