PHPAdsNew

Goldfinger asked 3 years ago
I am trying to get my head round PHPAdsNew. This is what I am trying to do. I want to assign a spot for a banner on the top of my middle div, one in the left div and one on the right div.

I actually want to produce an invocation code for each one that I can use throughout my site. I.e. I want to target all my urls and assign different banners to them. Can this be done? In another step I will also want to implement geotargeting but for that I have to import the maxmind geoip .csv and I lacked the enthusiasm to do that so far.

I just need to be sure wether my first project can be accomplished using PAN as their forum has been less than responsive (kind of a RTFM approach – when I read both the admin and user manual). Testament to that is the fact that I set up the maintenance cron without a problem (90% of noobs fail here )

Cheers

Gamesandcasino uses it and assigns different banners to different groups of URLs.

I have no idea how it’s done though.

phpAdsNew is powerful, but took me way to long to understand <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

I went over to adpeeps because I wanted to have a level of database integration to my linking and this program has a simpler database structure.

Groups of urls sounds like invocation codes maybe linked to certain keywords or groups of keywords. I am pretty sure I can have one banner area, assigned to one invocation code and have banner A show up on /1stpage.html, banner B on /2ndpage.html, and banner C on /3rdpage.html. I feel there is a certain geeky arrogance in the PAN forum which is why I came here for help.

I´ll google adpeeps. By the way they´ve come up with an even more advanced script on PAN with a completely different name. I´m in awe everytime I see stuff like PAN that open source benefactors develop in their spare time.
