Keyword #6 on Yahoo!

online18casino asked 2 years ago
Okay, I have two sites… Well I have one site and a domain I have never done anything with. So my first site I have SEO and im working real hard on right… Then my other site I have never done anything with (its been sitting for about a year how it is now). So I look on yahoo just for fun, and I see that is #6 in the SE results for the search word “online casinos USA”. First… lol i guess i need to do very little SEO for Yahoo! other then pick the right domain keywords. But im here to ask, Is “Online Casinos USA” a good keyword? Would anyone say its a high traffic keyword? How could I check? I was going to sell that site, but I guess now ill keep it and build it. I have no idea how long it has been on top of google. I would search for online casinos usa. Anyone else?

Yes, I would say so. It’s a targeted keyword, specific for US players.

Actually it’s not high traffic keyword. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a good one.

Google Keyword Tools is showing 8100 Global Montly Search Volume.
You can check it out at:

Also, check out:
It will give idea about keyword trend.

If I was in your place, I would delete that huge roulette image on your page, and put some content. Or at least redirect it to your other Website or casino sponsor.

Greetings, :hattip:

Thanks for the feedback man. Those two links where helpful. I put a banner to rushmore for now, later this week im going to turn that into a casino site also. For the reason of the rank and the fact that if i have two sites ill be able to do 3 way link exchanges.

We’re also ranking on those keywords so I guess that makes us competitors

The search volume is small, the conversion is fine.

Tip: Delete the Rushmore banner and add a Golden Casino banner. That should work

In the OP you say Yahoo and then Google?

Anyway, the point here is that you are querying for your exact domain name, which has 3 words in it. And usually in this case, it should be high in rankings, unless it is ultra competitive. I believe keyword in domain is one of the highest if not the highest factor for Google, not sure Yahoo.

So it seems to me your test shows that this keyword is not too competitive.

yeah my bad, i mean yahoo… its no where to be found in google for that keyword (but it is indexed).

Your site comes up #16 in Yahoo for me. The keyword likely doesn’t get much traffic, or there would be more competition for it. Ranking for a domain name’s keywords in this industry is rare. Get into the top 5 and you should see some regular traffic.

You should also use a stats package to track traffic. You might have found out about this sooner if you did.

okay I just checked this morning and I now have a Pr1 for this site (with very light promoting in under a month) and a PR2 for my other site and a few of its sub pages have a pagerank 1. Thats pretty good for about 3 weeks right? Also if someone could give me some tips on good keywords for’s main page? My goal is to be in the top three results for a good keyword, but have not to much comp?
