I have seen a number of gambling sites and portals use Hubpages.com to create links, but on the other hand, hardly anyone uses Squidoo Lens. Has anyone tried building links from either of these two popular websites? Does anyone have any inside as to whether links from either of the sites will be penalized by Google?
Any feedback from any of the resident SEO Gurus would be highly appreciated.

Squidoo banned online gaming pages a long time back. I used to have a few on there and they were all taken down. As for Hubpages, unless you’ve got a good user score, you won’t get link juice and I think Google are all across its use for links so any you do get is negligible. Also, they don’t like online gaming content either. You can do it, but you have to be very careful how. IE, Online Bingo – do a piece on the history of bingo numbers in bingo halls.
