I was wanderng how mutch you spending on buying payed listings at search engines. And the sign-up the ratio is to get one player to sign-up, deposit money and play.

Well, this month so far I’ve spent all of $50. Two new depositing players off maybe 35 clicks. I’m only concentrating on one PPC at the moment, putting in deposits of $25 a time and refining my phrases and placement to maximise ROI. It’s going extremely well, I have to say, but by God is it boring work.

I just can’t get generic ‘casino’ related phrases to convert at all though, even when I know that one of this PPC’s partners has a top five listing in Google for a valuable ‘online casino’ type phrase. It’s so frustrating. I know I need to put some serious cash behind this one phrase, but I want to see at least a couple of non-depositing sign ups before I do so and I can’t seem to get them. Gut instinct says reduce the bid so I’m #9 or #10 in the rankings and trust that the surfer who knows what he or she is looking for will run down the list and find my site to be ‘the one’. But judging by the traffic difference between the top 5 slots and the next 5, I’m not sure this is happening. I’ve tried being in the top five as well ( at #4 just above the fold) but it ain’t working for me. I’m trying to resist the temptation to pause all my other listings and just throw $300 or so at this one phrase but I think my will is weakening rapidly….

I spend way too much money on PPC for the amount of return I get. But I’ve got a new plan in place, and it involves not doing PPC anymore.

Conversions vary WIDELY from PPC engine to PPC engine, and I’ve done extensive testing of the following: 7search, GoClick, ePilot, Enhance, Findwhat, espotting, Kanoodle, and Xuppa.

I’ve actually managed to sign up real players at all of the above engines but Xuppa.

Goclick has sent me the most real traffic, but 7search has had better conversions. espotting’s conversions are excellent, but I’ve never gotten a lot of traffic there. epilot, enhance, and kanoodle will send you thousands of clicks a day, but most of those clicks are bogus.

Hope that helps.

The reason espotting doesn’t send much traffic compared to the other engines is because all of the traffic they send is from real people!

How does everyone think of Findwhat now that they have merged with Espotting? I’m giving them a trial run just now.

Findwhat is and always has been spotty. The key to success with them is WHEN you advertise and which terms. The popular terms can be really hit hard with questionable clicks. The lest trafficed and therefore less abused terms can produce some actual results.

This pretty much holds true with all the minor ones, although some of the shadier outfits like Xuppa probably send fraudulent clicks to any possible term you could think of.

Although I agree that Espotting has “quality” traffic, I am not so sure about this statement. <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

I recently spotted an automated system clicking each day my listings several times from my Espotting campaigns. Been credited back and IPs filtered… So watch out. In two days 3£ of fake traffic – so in a month, that’s around 45£, so nearly $80 wasted… I prefer playing these $80 at gambling! And that’s one spot only…
