On an average month how much do you make as an affiliate from all the programs put together?

I was an affiliate manager in the travel industry, and the 80/20 rule was way overstating things for us. It was more like 5% maybe 10% of affiliates making 90% of the revenue. I suspect that might be true in this industry as well, although I’d be the wrong person to say that for a fact. But talking to some of the affiliate managers in this industry, my guess is that those percentages are probably pretty close to what they’re seeing too.

But your support network is incredibly important in this business, just like any other. I wouldn’t have been able to leave the rat race at the tender age of 35 had it not been for the support of the people on this forum and a couple of other places.

That’s probably more than I made the first few months in this business.

Yes, you started out as a known entity – I was a big fat nobody and had a hard time figuring out how to get decent traffic.

When you grow up you want to be like Dean – used to be from adriches you mean?

No, he means me. Rich and honest.

And with a head the size of a hot air balloon! <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Jokes aside, people who emulate you are on the right track. Honest and straight forward people are an asset to the industry. And you are that. I don’t know about the rich part – how many beers will you buy me in Vegas?
