How many unique visitors per day should I have in order to make a living online?

Content is more important than visitors.

What everything truely depends on is the quality of traffic. You can have a million hits a day and zero sales or you can have 5 hits a day and 5 sales. It is all about targeted traffic and if your content and design is eye pleasing and is what the user is looking for. I have been making a living online since around 1998 and have had sites about selling products to selling traffic to referring poker sites.
It all usually depends on how hard of a worker you are and the descisons oyu make. Your success is always up to you.

I have problems with targetted traffic because I make pages for my visitors and I dont use a lot of SEO rules.

I think that 2000+ uniq visitors can bring you first real deposit players in one month.

Content has to build.. Its really impossible to just make a giant content site in a week and sit back. Design your site so content complements it as it grows so you dont have tons of “non-sense” pages waiting for it.

According to my experience, high traffic is not always that crucial. It is more productive if the Page View of a site is good. If you have only 10 visits a day and one whale a month (to exaggerate a bit), who took time to view your site, then you don’t need to bother about the traffic.

Search engines like good content…

A targeted niche keyword visit is worth 10 – 100 general super-keyword visits. If you serve up what they are specifically looking for.

I believe it is a true story. My sites bring me 100+- IP benefit me 2k-5k per month.
