free games to try?

truckin asked 3 years ago
Do u think it’s a good idea to add free games to your site so that the players can get a feel for the game and see what its like.

I use them, but it depends on the type of site and visitor you have.

I think it is a good idea. I think a person is more likely to deposit if they know what they are getting into.

The question here is about offering free games for practise. My sites carry branded free games from Wager Share and I see hits coming from those pages.

What’s questionable as to value is offering games that are not gambling oriented. I would think offering those games (such as skill unless your site offers skill games for real money) is valuable to make the site sticky but probably wouldn’t help hits and conversions. Unless the idea is to make them so happy with your site, they click through and play somewhere out of gratefulness

Hi,

I can’t really see the point in offering free casino games on your site as most of the casinos offer the chance to play for fun anyway. Am I perhaps missing the point here !! If however the “free” games point them into the waiting hands of a casino then it all makes perfect sense

There are freegames that do point users to the casino.. there is a button on the freegame to “Play for real money now” ..

Honestly though, I have a forum, and blogs and a lil member shout box on my site.. I try to make it more of a community.. somewhere that members want to go everyday just to see what’s new! So I wouldn’t see any problem at all with absolutely free games! If it makes them want to come and play, I’m game I like them to have fun, and feel like its a group they “belong” to! That is afterall why I started it in the first place, long b4 I ever thought it could make me some cash as well

I am a gambler at heart I’m game for a quick game of pacman every now n then, but that just doesn’t make your heart beat like a hot game of poker! Pacman passes the time.. but I’ll find my way to real games

IMHO having free gambling games on my sites means that I’m putting them in their faces.

Most people know that they can play for free on casino sites – but if they have to make a decision about where, to actually go there, sign up, download, and play – it’s much easier just to click on my free games page and play instantly in flash with a $1,000 freebie and no signup.

Also, I’m sure that practise is not always the name of the game. There aren’t that many newbies in the online gambling world. I think that it’s just fun – I sometimes go to my page myself and play a round of Tomb Raider, Thunderstruck, or 10-hand VP just to take a break from writing code.

And there’s that branding right on the page – play for real money.

It’s real content, sticky, and fun – which is the entire purpose of a gambling portal.
