Best performing banners

Fortune Palace asked 3 years ago
Just wondering…

Up to last year, a lot of information had built up as to which banners worked well for the mainly US market.

Since UIGEA, the customer base has changed, so I’m looking for the current situation, to help us all target the new markets more effectively.

So: which banners work best for EU/worldwide punters?

Difficult to estimate. I generally use, apart from text links, 125×125 and 468×60. I hope this poll would produce some useful information.

468×60 is the best for me together with standard text links.

Rob472 answered 3 years ago
That depends on how its integrated with the content. The only way to find out is to test.

Don’t know what to answer, I use 120×60, 125×125, 468×60, 120×240, 120×600 and I can’t say what is the best for non US players.

One of these questions you cant answer as some pages can only handle links due to self imposed limits e.g. page load time, while other pages need extra banners due to low content. I also think that its has more to do with banner information rather than size. e.g. having a banner advertising 100% bonus while your visitor is looking for no deposit bonuses, in this case the perfect size banner wont matter.

I voted text links because these generally work best for me , but then again I am not the greatest when it comes to monitoring actual banner performance so I may be way off the mark

From personal experience, text, but only because that’s my main use.

The marketing and Sales team at my previous job swore by the leader boards (gigantic banners, top of the page) – they were the most sought after by advertisers and they gave the most clicks. After those were the larger skyscrapers.
