Hello Dave,
Aint this choice a significant business decision that may determine the sucess of a firm in the market?
And a question for all the rest: Why dont you look for programs that their people or business culture and mentality is such that fits your own?
Dave as far as i understand from your threads you do so…

(if I understand your question)
You’d think so, hey!
But IMHO people; myself included to a certain point, put up with crap.
As far as determining success this thread is a prime example.
An affiliate program has been busted cross marketing to players sent by affiliates with straight links and other dodgy practices. However a limited few will speak out against the program. Most continue to promote them. Not withstanding (those that shall not be named), defend their unethical actions.
However in this instance even with hard factual proof, Taylor now owns 35 online casinos. So it seems being crooked these days pays dividends.

In 2003 I commenced promoting a new casino (oyster gaming – Elka systems). Long story short, within a few months and numerous player complaints, the slots were tested and found to be rigged. A little bit of research later and I was fairly confident they had dubious Russian connections (if you get my drift).
Point is no one is infallible.
From then onwards I not only researched who I was partnering with but also if they were a new outfit, I would place them onsite for at least 6 months. Least to say I’m now down to a few major groups only. Players are paid, payments are generally on time month in month out. And, I’m dealing with professionally like minded people who understand my business needs.

bobkogonMemberI’m starting to have some doubts too. I see 400$ more in 2012 than 2011 but on the other hand, I earn the same amount of money (the amount earned with Rewards casinos in one year) in only 2 or 3 months with other Microgaming groups that I’m promoting right now.
I don’t know why is that because I gave them good exposure and I see a some new accounts every month.
Anyway, if there is no change in the next 3 or 4 months of 2013, I’ll start taking down all their casinos and redirect the players elsewhere.
I don’t know if they’re shaving or not but at this point it doesn’t worth the space on my website.

This RA/CR cross marketing issue can be bit overwhelming, so just in case you or anyone else has missed the facts which prove referred players are being contacted with straight links &/or your affiliate tags are being dropped, I’ve added the following URL’s which provide this factual proof.
NB – I decided to get a friend to signup to CaptainCooks via one of my banners. Within 4 hours he’d been hammered with no less than 10 emails from CR.
One such email I added to the blog post. Well worth a read. The email contained in the blog URL below was received by my friend. Not only was this email meant to look like it was accidentally sent with the attached internal comms, but I dare say, given the time stamps this is nothing more than an automated email to make a player believe they’re getting special treatment:

CR Newsletter – what my friend received:
(red url tags is not my affiliate tag but belongs to CR tracking)http://www.dodgyonlinecasinohistory.net/rewardsaffiliates/casino-rewards-drop-affiliate-tags/
This thread at AGD was commenced by me. Again, I used my friend to prove these points which shows my affiliate tagged was removed.
http://www.affiliateguarddog.com/forums/cr-issue-t4308.htmlI personally visited this affiliate portal:
askgamblers.com/casino/uk-casino-club-review-r184Clicked on UK Casino Club. This post also shows the affiliate tagged dropped. And, also details their latest scam to hoodwink tagged players within their Live Chat:

They have taken a turn for the worse and they defend their monopoly of 30+ MG casinos aggressively, personally I believe my account has been shaved after revealing the truth about the untagged cross promotion.
I am slowly removing their brands as it appears they do not convert at all anymore.
If you speak up you get shaved hard so it seems.

InactiveIve been shaved insanely or the quality of the brands went to hell when they aquired them. I let me mebers decide what stays and goes, but I know who is legit and who is not for when it counts.

So from what you are saying it seems that we agree…it is a matter of business decision…whom you cooperate with…and this is not only one sided it is mutual for both sides

Not long after you blew the whistle on this over at the GPWA
http://www.gpwa.org/forum/all-22-casinos-rewards-player-emails-links-cr-website-196308.html I went through all my 20 odd sites and kicked CR casinos to the curb. You have a web-site which calls CR/RA out on their dodgy ways. But you continue to promote them.
Unfortunately my friend, your achilles heel lays in the fact you still knowingly promote these crooks. Until that changes and you pull them, then your part of the problem not the solution.

I know I have to delete them but time is not my friend these days due to health issues.
Besides that all my site pages are interlinked and some have a custom DB setup which is not easy to change.
Probably it is best I will not interfere in this conversation anymore as long as CR has not been removed from all my sites as people may think I have a double agenda.

Inspiration take care of your health then worry about the rest .Health comes 1st .When it is better then you can adjust the sites . But Please do Not stop posting in this thread , let others know your feelings and also your observations .

LucretiaMemberI am going to avoid the forums cuz I do not like the current situation where programs can do whatever they want to screw their affiliates.

You brought this to the GPWA in March 2011 and it’s now 16’th Dec 2012. I’m not 100% well myself; have days when I feel like throwing in the towel, but regardless, I soldier on. Besides, you managed to set-up a dedicated WP to trash CR/RA.
So surely it can’t take 18 months to rid your sites of CR promotions.

The thing is mate, until you remove them completely from your sites, Renee and anyone else will continue to use this as cannon fodder. While others will probably wonder why all the noise if this person is still promoting them.

That’s your choice.
When the Grand Prive`fiasco was going on, I said, mark my words if affiliates don’t unite and say enough is enough, and actually do something about GP screwing them, then other programs will notice and try it on too. And that’s exactly what’s happened, hey!
Look at what Ladbrokes did to USA affiliates. Not much difference between this and GP. But again no one does jack. If this stuff is allowed to continue then it’s going to get a lot worse than what it is now.
And anyone who thinks they have a get out jail free card, these too will soon be obsolete.
December 16, 2012 at 9:08 pm #830744
gokkenMemberAnd I’ll add, all these affiliate forums are supposed to help us, most claim they hold affiliates best interests at heart. But who actually steps up to the plate and does something?
- GPWA will only act if they’re not chopping off their own fingers.
- APCW same rules apply as the GPWA.
- ADG unless it affects there mods, admins or auditing personelle little to nothing is done.
- CAP certain help at certain places but can’t tell yet. Have only been posting here month or 2.
- CasinoMeister (affiliate forum) was fast to rogued C-planet because he was getting hammered.
- PAL – don’t know much about this place.
All this combined power (influence) BUT still programs are allowed to screw affiliates.
