InactiveAnd another thing it seems that some are going to allow are players to continue to play, for those that are doing this when the USA market opens back up to Microgaming, you are the ones that will have my 100% loyalty! For this saying awee forget it we are stopping all together I have no respect because you could have allowed us to retain the players we had already and not cut us off totally and kill our revenue!

InactiveIt’s all Obama’s fault!
Anyway, what’s wrong with Revenue Giants? They’re ace and accept all US players.

playlivebingoMemberAll existing US players will still be allowed to play and have full access to all services
on all of our brands. We are still deciding as to when the cut off for new regs will be.
I will release the official anouncement shortly. We are also will no longer be requesting any docs from players located within the
surrounding Kentucky states. We will be banning IPs, there’s less paper work

InactiveI just don’t understand what is that huge difference between letting past players play and not allowing new ones to register (it’s ggod for affs, but still I don’t understand the casinos point of view because letting old players to play is “illegal”, right?
Old players must be paid out too so why the problem is the high cost of operation? This move is altogether a bad step especially when times are changing and noone knows what will happen with the new US government on power. The worst time to pull the plug… :banger:
I would like to see a straight explanation about the exact reasons.

Thats exactly my thought for the whole day, if a casino is transfering money to a US based player but the account get’s closed down for illegal transactions and they loose money, why would it make a diference if they are new or existing ?
Hopefully this will get cleared up by microgaming over the coming days/weeks.November 6, 2008 at 5:13 pm #785749Anonymous

You are going to need Obama’s help to get this industry regulated so you need to SUPPORT the President Elect! What are you doing to make it better other than complaining?

InactiveHow long do you all think it will take MG to change their position again and not allow any US players? You all know that’s next.

As far as I can tell – 4 days.

ClubContMemberIt is a similar situation as click2pay as far as I am concerned. That is they will let old players stay on but not allow new ones. The news will appear soon and I’m assuming that any MG operator isn’t allowed to disclose the reason publicly if they know what it is. My theory is MG is going to be a publicly floated company maybe on LSE which would explain the timing. At least they are keeping your old players and you are not losing them, this would be a complete nightmare and a bigger mess. Hopefully the UIEGA (or whatever order those stupid letters go in) will be turned over in less than a year and the doors are opened again.

LucretiaMemberi think it is about serving your players needs if a program does not allow us players to play anymore, move on and promote something else which fits best.
I think it is a very awkward situation because of just one state claiming to be the HQ regulator of us online gambling most mgs are scared. But anyway awkward things happen regularly lately so it is almost common although it hurts badly.

Fair enough but microgaming casinos have the best software and for me the best conversion rates. If I send players to a diferent software provider they are less likely to signup and deposit.
I suggest an epic party once the UIEGA ban gets lifted (if ever)

LucretiaMemberQuote:Dear,
We would like to inform you of some important changes that we are implementing due to various factors arising out of the United States of America.
1. As of Monday, November 10th 2008 we will no longer accept any new registrations from players residing in the USA.
2. All existing players registered in the USA will not be affected by this decision and may continue to play. We will continue to honor all revenue share agreements for these retained players.
3. We will continue to accept Affiliates based in the USA
The non-US portion of our business already contributes to the majority of our new player acquisitions and revenue streams and this development allows us to further develop our capabilities in this area.
We thank you for your continued support and look forward to working with you and focusing on new and exciting markets.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact your Affiliate Manager.
Regards
The PlayShare Partners Teamplayshare……………

ClubContMemberI don’t think it’s the Kentucky issue at all since many of them switched their domains to .co.uk especially when that case isn’t finished. Assuming kentucky did win it only puts a damper on the issue since if all programs did lose their domains they will just simply switch. The downside is affiliates need to make sure their banners and text links are updated but the upside is affiliates benefit the most since those domains that compete for the same keywords are going to take some sort of SERP hit.

InactiveIts very simple guys.
Their US funds are being frozen just like bodogs and 3 other states have instituted actions against them. I would also pull out if I were them them.
