    Hi again all,

    some great points made.

well I’m back in here because i said I’d name and shame if something wasn’t done to make this right and I guess its time.

so I re-read the whole thread to make sure I had an understanding of this matter before I wrote any names.

and I think I’ve got the jist of it. but let me ask to clarify and perhaps this will also help anyone not reading the whole thread but jumping to the end to see how it worked out.

…. nope. Trib can you jot down the timeline in a short manner of how all this came about?

    something like

account from bet on sports transfers to betcris
xxx amount of money is missing/added to my account so i contacted betcris of a problem

    betcris requests proof of ID

meantime they give out same info to other person

    etc

I can’t put the time line together of how it all went down reading thru the posts because understandably you were hesitant to bring all the facts out at once in hopes betcris would step in before it came to that … but we’re past that now.

if you want people to write about this it would be best to give them a short outline of what happened and in what time span things happened?

Bb1webs, more kudos for your input and support!

I previously composed this information and sent it to “Mr. Torres”, the customer service manager of BetCris. He however never bothered to address any of my questions and ignored anything I had written. It is difficult to write up a 100% perciely timetable of all happenings for me anymore, but the most important facts and problems are listed in the following text.

I will remove all personal information from the writings below to protect my privacy. (lol… NOT!?)

My message to Mr. Torres @ BetCris:

“(…) On the 17th of February (2007) this year I have had a balance of over 30.000 US Dollars in my account. My next login was on May 12th (2007), which is where I realized that my balance decreased to only approx. US$10.000. I immediately contacted your operation and changed my password. I was also asked to send my documents to Alexander M., Customer Service Supervisor. After he received the email I was told that my account had been locked, no further changes would be possible and that I should contact BetCris the next day, to get this matter solved.

When I logged into my account the next day, I shockingly saw that again someone placed bets in my account! I contacted Alex again, asking how it is possible that my new information was given out another time, and even during this phone call the cheater managed to log into my locked (???) account!

Alexander had no idea how this was possible, as he apparently left multiple notes in my account that “no changes should be allowed in my account”. Alex however said that he had tracked down the person that accessed it, along with IP address, phone number, etc.”

This is a listing of everything BetCris messed up with:

    1. The ID I sent you (BetCris) was issued on the 11th of May, just the day before this matter occured, was only valid until the 15th of May. Absolutely nobody could possess my current and valid ID, so how is it possible that you claim to have had “2 people sending me identification for the same account”?

    2. My account was announced to have been “locked” by Alex (customer service rep) until this matter will be cleared.

Please comment on how it can be possible for anyone to call in, unlock my account, place wagers and receive my password- while my account is locked? And to complete it all – while I am on the phone with your supervisor? -Plus get my information multiple times?

    3. Not a cent of the money in my account could be cashed out or transferred anywhere before I fulfilled wagering requirements of over US$200.000.

I am completely aware of this term and you pointed it out yourself.

I am a serious player who plays by the rules, but –

How was it possible to transfer any amount to Rio Sportsbook from your side, if I still had to fulfil such wagering?

    4. I do not have an account at Rio Sportsbook.

How could the money be transferred to an account which is not mine,

Please contact the Rio Sportsbook for an investigation on the person who collected the money he or she was not entitled to. Not a single cent of these funds came anywhere near me!

    5. Your supervisor Alex informed me that your company would be in the posession of private details of this person, such as telephone number, email, etc.

Please let me know if this person is still able to access my account now, as I do not even know what my “current balance” is? (…)”

    Hi all (T),

been thinking this over and its pretty obvious why the transfer to that last place … rio sport .. the thief was looking for a way to get the money out of your account and I imagine betcris has the standard rules of you can only have the money sent to the person …at the address where they signed up … or if they’re using an eWallet then only you could have that money paid ONLY to the eWallet that you used when registering it.

So by opening another account with your name but a different way to get the money out of the account they would then be able to access the money.

Now that might be wrong about the rules but I know most the casinos i play have just such rules and are quite tough to get money out to anywhere that isn’t your home address or an eWallet that you had used to deposit.

And I know a casino wouldn’t let you transfer money from one casino to another unless they were in the same network and even then its not usually an easy task.

I’ve never heard of a sport book allowing you to transfer money from one to another unless they were associated in some means that must carry some weight if the feel comfortable allowing money to go back and forth between each other.

Since Tribun obviously knows nothing about this rio then considering that betchris is involved in the matter … that they would at very least step forward and use what influence they have with rio (which again I say must be considerable if they trust trading money like they are doing) to find out where the money trail ends … and then if they don’t have the decency of initiative to prosecute this scumbag then at least let Trib know who it is so justice can be sought and served.

It really makes betchris look bad the way it is now and sadly if i understood the first post … they had bailed out a sportbook that went under? and honored an account you’d otherwise have lost?

and was there over 30k in that account when they bailed it out?

reason I ask is that now as I understand it you are out 17k? so if that all rings close to true then for half the amount they were once willing to spend to keep you as a player they are now willing to lose you?

very odd thinking indeed. Moreso is not wishing to find and prosecute a thief they seemingly have all the proof you’d ever need and instead choose to let this person free to do this again.

I’ve said this here before, and was taught along time ago that we have to stand together as affiliates and support each other.

With that in mind, I wrote this article a little bit after searching for hours and hours for every fact I could come up with, and giving betcris a chance to respond to my email.

With the new timeline available, I may do a follow up article, if anyone here writes on the topic, please post your article here as well so that I can find it, and link to it.

    Cathy :)

    GL trib!

    Hi again all,

giving betcris a chance to respond to my email.

With the new timeline available, I may do a follow up article,

me too. i actually got two more pages out of it after adding the time line.

and I’m going to write an article that will go out to a lot of article sites … not trying to pick on BetCris, they have every chance to do the right thing still …. but when you don’t do the right thing it feeds hungry subject sharks such as myself who just love some meat to go with all the stuffing we send out regular.

I have added in my article titles that BetCris, the well-known sport book has let us down.

and that’s the truth. btw, you guys can stop sending me your snail mail. I don’t think I’ll be looking to do any gambling with a place that so easily allows money to be transferred … not to the player’s eWallet, not to the player’s home address but to another sport book.

I prefer some place that will be a bit more secure with my money.

one more question and I’ll try to leave this alone.

is it common practice for a sport book to transfer money from a player’s account to another account at another sport book?

I’ve never heard of this and bet football every year.

It seems to me that BetCris and Rio must be relatives of some sort.

Oh, Tribun, can you tell us if you ever …

    – get access back to the account at BetCris, and ifso how much if any money is left in there, and does the amount match the last time you saw it?

    – get contacted by BetCris or Rio to give you the account login and password information for the account you supposedly have at Rio, and ifso, how much of your money is remaining in the account?

    – are contacted with some sort of closure in respect to justice towards the thief? and ifso by whom? and who carried out the act of justice? ie local police, federal, … (just gave two big guys a hundred spot each to take a ball bat and beat hell out of him) … that sort of thing.

I realize most the above are long shots at this point but I don’t think the buzzer has yet sounded. Perhaps BetCris will end up making a better effort … but to be honest I’ve already written one article to send to the ezines and I don’t relish having to trash it … so take your time BC … but do the right thing in the end so I don’t have reason to write any more about this mess.

Rio and BetCris are both Costa Rican companies, making it much easier for them to cooperate and protect each other.
I have of course contacted Skybook about this crime months ago as well, but they are not willing to reveal the identity of the fraudster either. Their manager “Mike Hertz” claims that “my dispute is with BetCris” and that “they would possess all details about the person that received my money“.
I am not sure if the account at Rio was under my name or someone else’s, but both parties are doing their best to not reveal any details, though I know that they posess everything that is needed to resolve this.

When BetCris took over the funds from my old BetOnSports account, I have had a balance of ~$26k with them. After having previously wagered tens of thousands with Cris, my balance was slightly above $30k. -This is when my account got hacked, funds were wagered (lost) and my money got transfered to SkyBook.
My current balance at Cris is $14756, so I am out ~17k ever since I placed my last bet at BetCris over a year ago by now. This balance of $14756 fortunately has not changed anymore after my account info was given out twice by BetCris, but i am not touching it anymore either until this has been resolved.

Of course I highly appreciated BetCris taking over my funds, but everything got even worse once I found out how insecure my money was with them! LadyHoldem’s article hits the spot very well and brings its readers a good impression of how lousy and dishonestly this company treats its partners and customers.
-Good job, LadyH! It’s a great read.

I still have not taken any legal steps, as I am still hoping to get this resolved differently. The thief himself still seems to be a several thousand US Dollars richer and his identity gets protected by both companies. All transfered funds from my BetCris account to Rio were cashed out, as per the word of Rio’s manager.

No matter how long it may still take, I will follow the trail of justice until BetCris pays me back the funds into my account! Their attitude will not bring them anywhere but down and I will make sure to add my best to it.

Bb1webs already talked about writing an article in his previous posts, and unfortunately the continous ignorance of BetCris let him no choice but to write and release his report.

The coverage of BetCris’ foul acting was published on his website, and can be read by following this link.

Not only do I appreciate his support of my case, but am also happy to see that with Lady Holdem and bb1 there are already two affiliates who DO care to inform their players about the shady sides of this business! My kudos to you two!!

I have also been able to finally release a first version of my site and put BetCris in its “evil casino” section.

    BetCris shall hear more soon!

    Hi all,

I’ve actually done more than just on my site, i have submitted an article (condensed from the 2 or 3 pages I’ve got on my site) to over 50 article directories, though I still await finding out how many will publish.

:) (big smilie there because I’m confident most will publish).

BetCris, you had every opportunity to do the right thing.

here’s a tip that might save you a small fortune in the future.

Its great you stepped in and honored accounts of the failed place you took over. But if you’re going to take an honorable approach, you gotta at least try to look the part.

You took a situation where financially you were absolved (technically) yet you chose to withold information from the victim which might have helped track down the criminal, you have chose to not help the victim even find out their (supposedly) new account login and password (although it was in fact created by the criminal, using the victim’s ID) at the place where the money went in transfer.

You’ve done everything to protect the thief and nothing substantial to help the victim. What are we to gather from all this?

I’m not through submitting my article. there are over three or four hunderd places that i am aware.

damage will only grow. If I am not mistaken all Trib wanted was to know who took his money and what the damn login is to the place where his money was transferred, (might take BetCris and the other site getting together to accomplish that, but its very doable). And perhaps that BetCris return any funds which were allowed out of the account located originally at BetCris … from the time he first asked the account be frozen. Not from the first time the money was missing.

    Is that correct Trib?

I don’t see where Trib was wrong in any doing, approach, or in what he’s asked from BetCris since the incident has happened.

Why BetCris, do you stonewall an investigation which you ought to be lighting the torches and leading the way on?

Excellent, bb1! I will post a link to my own BetCris article here soon. Considering the amount of desastrous PR they are already getting, I am sure many more people will become aware of this situation!

There is still a number of cap members promoting this establishment, which is absolutely beyond my understanding at this point. BetCris has prooven multiple times here that they can not be trusted, yet you are still -recommending- this place to your players! I am not going to mention any member names, but this is very disappointing and sad.

bb1, you explain the situation correctly. BetCris keeps ignoring all and any questions, as obviously they have a LOT to hide behind their silence. It is always hard to approach these Costa Rican companies, butone day they will see what damag their acting lead to.

Why do you first (kindly) bail out players, just to then rip them off so badly, BetCris??

I’ve tried numerous times to get in contact with the staff at BetChris but they seem unwilling to be cooperate with our CAP members. When I asked them if they would like us the step in to help resolve this matter, there response was that CAP is the only forum to continuously perpetuate this “drama”. They felt that by responding to this forum, this issue will not be forgotten so they have decided to ignore these posts. l will try contacting them again.

Thanks for your input and offering your assistance, John!

This issue certainly will never be “forgotten” if BetCris do not care to address it and finally cooperate for a fair solution.

Of course I am not posting in a dozen forums about this “drama”, when articles are getting released through various websites and thousands of players and potential customers can be warned more easily now and in the future.
CAP is the best place to discuss this problem, as BetCris & Bookmaker.com has proven to be a threat for affiliates as well as players.

If anyone considers ignoring questions and denying facts a “drama”, then may it be so.

    Hi again all,

well its no secret that by bailing out the customers you almost assure yourself of some loyalty … I mean why would I leave a place that saved me when they didn’t have to?

It costs a lot of money to get players if you don’t have SEO, and I imagine on some level it is a wise financial move to go ahead and bail out players under such circumstances.

just my guess on that though.

    …………………………………………..

about this being the only place where this won’t die …not true.

as I mentioned early on … I’m not picking on BetCris because I have anything personal against them. But like many others … I need newsworthy subjects to write articles about and they are just pouring more blood on a feeding frenzy by ignoring this.

Why write another boring article about tips on how to win at slots when there’s meat on the table like this?

This is serious stuff BC and I am baffled at why you are choosing to ignore it?

I also contacted them, when I wrote the article on 4flush.com about this incident, I didn’t get any response at all. I’m more than happy to post any factual articles on the subject written by any CAP members.

If you have fact and evidence feel free to email me at LadyHoldem [at] comcast.net, I don’t accept spammy articles, but I hate to see issues go ignored and people treated as insignificant..

If you have an article on the subject, we can link them together, so that all the facts are easy to find for any new customers.

I actually did not want to post on CAP anymore until a certain situation gets fixed, but have now received an information that could bring more clarity to the happenings at BetCris!

Apparently the man has been caught that stole 150 identities from BetOnSports and then used this information to log in my account at BetCris.

Just as a reminder, BetCris took over my old BoS account but never informed its customers that the old database was stolen, though they knew of it over a year ago already.

The database thief then used my expired ID to retrieve my account passwords from BetCris, who provided him with this sensitive information multiple times, despite of my warnings and requests to make sure my account would not get hacked anymore.

The full article about the suspect can be read on wnbc’s homepage.

BetCris will not get away with this.
