Actually on May 12th, which is after the book to book transfers, this person did transfer $2,500 to the poker room. 27 hours later that person transfered $9,078 from the poker room back to your sports account. Not so shabby for some one that was “stealing” your money.

So how was this person able to access my account then?

: No offense, you got a valid point. But I would appreciate if you could not derogate this thread and continue your discussion in a seperate one, please. Thank you.

I keep seeing the offer to send logs and emails to admin.. do clients agree to that somewhere? What protects that personal info?

Sadfuly there is not much of a “customer protection” at BetCris. I was even asked for my accountnumber AND password on their live-chat multiple times.

While you are here, would you mind commenting on these terms of your affiliate program? Any chance on getting this removed as I see no need for it other than being able to stop paying affiliates their revenue share on players.

    3.2. Minimum Referral Requirement
Affiliate is required to refer a minimum of 10 active customers within the first month of joining the Program and 5 additional active players each consecutive month.. Should an Affiliate not reach this requirement the Referral Commission will be diminished to zero.

This clause is there because we are looking for affiliates that actively market us and it weeds out most affiliate fraud before they even open an account.

You’re missing the point. No thief steals $2,500 and gives you back $9,078. Any reasonable person would come to the conclusion that was you playing in your account.

As for the logs, the client has brought his claim to this forum. That was his choice. What you read here is nothing but heresay. By bringing the claim here one would assume that we will share the hard facts with the admins here so this case can be closed.

Live chat is an encrypted connection. There is no difference between customer service asking for you id and password or live chat asking for your id and password.

There is really nothing more I can say on the matter. It is clear by looking at the hard facts what happened in this case.

Scott, I am not “missing any point”. It is rather you who keeps denying many questions I had asked before.

Claiming that it was “me” who was playing in the account is completely wrong and you know it. The fact that this other person apparently indeed moved back an amount to my account is relatively odd to me too, but might add substance to my “theories number two and three”:

#2: Either my account got accidently linked into someone else’s existing BetCris account, who got happy about the free extra chunk of money but wagered it out because he still had wagering requirements to fulfill himself, or simply liked betting…

    …OR…

#3: The fraud has been committed by an insider of BetCris.

Perhaps there is even a theory number 4, which I have not thought of yet.
While I used to have great trust in your operation before this issue arose, I am not excluding anything anymore by now.

At a previous point your company claimed that the “name, address, etc. of the person that accessed my account would be known”. I can proof this statement but now you claim that the “other person would be me”?

-There are so many things unstraight in this matter but you can not deny that you at least once or twice unrevealed my log in details to the other person again, though he (“he” as per your colleagues previous statement) did not have any valid documents of me but one expired ID! Now you however are claiming that the “ID would not even have been needed”, which means that all the other person had to do in order to collect my log in details again was to call in, say that “he is me”, mention my date of birth, address and email.
    hmmmm

Right after I noticed my hacked account I as well contacted the manager “Mike” at Skybook and asked what happened to my money after it was transfered to his operation. After I sent in documents to prove my ID he however claimed that he was “unable to unreveal further details including the name of the accountholder”, but that “BetCris would know all details about this person and I should contact them again”.
As of now I do not even know if the Skybook account where my money got transferred to was in my name, or in someone else’s.

I would as well have to be out of mind to post anything but the truth here, right before my gaming portal is about to open up, which I have worked on for the last several months! I however am able to bring up much proof, while some open questions still need to get investigated.

I’ve answered your questions already. It seems you do not fully understand my statements.

An ID is not required to make a withdrawal or transfer unless the player has previous credit card deposits. Normal procedure is to request the account number and password.

You can come up with as many schemes as you like.

This issue has already been closed at all the major online forums because their administrators have seen the exact logs of your account and came to the only rational conclusion there is. I’ve even invited the admins to come by my office and look at them in person.

5 months ago this issue went all the way to Mickeys desk where he came to the same conclusion.

We’ve been in business since 1985. We are still in business because we’ve always done the right thing.

    Not true.
If you actually read the previously posted messages you will find a number of essential questions that never got addressed.

Please also let me know what “logs” you keep referring to?

Since you mentioned the other forums, I need to point out that only one moderator from sportsbookreview has been initially informed with facts of this case. After over three months passed by, he said “that there is nothing more he can do”.

When I decided to actually bring this matter to public attention just this week I posted about it on “The RX” forum, where the moderator Wilheim removed (deleted) half of my posts. BetCris is a big sponsor on this site.
Next, I posted here and at another bookie forum, where the mediator offered to look into the matter just two days ago.

Again… Please answer these questions, as per my previous posts:

Who was the other person that accessed my account?

Your colleague stated to know “all details about him”.

Additionally, Anthony Torres, your customer service manager, send me this statement on Tuesday, 5 Jun 2007 06:27:23:
“Here is the bottom line. I had 2 people sending me identification for the same account. Giving me the same information and password.”

What identification did this other person send you?

I have also taken the time to do some investigation about BetCris’ history of security problems and found out about this similar security breach at their house:
http://forum.sbrforum.com/players-talk/3676-strange-story-about-betcris-customer-service.html In this thread another BetCris customer reports that he was supplied with someone else’s account# AND password just when calling in and providing nothing but his address.

My problem is not an isolated one and I am positive that I could find even more of the same kind.

Just because BetCris has chosen to not answer questions in this forum, it does not mean that I am done with this.
As a matter of fact, we are far away from closing this case but I will make sure to keep all visitors here on the latest relevant developments.

I am horrified that your support staff are asking for user passwords, encrypted network or not. You never give your password to anybody, your own mother included, this is standard internet policy. 😮

    I find this quite disturbing.

Scott, I happen to know Tribun and he wouldn’t make something like this up. It makes no sense for him to do.

Alternately it makes no sense for you to be involved in such a confrontation if you didn’t think you were right.

Admittedly I am a bit confused about what exactly the transactions were and exactly how you safe guarded them.

There has to be a common denominator someplace.

    -Nothing at the moment.
BetCris has reopened my player account and I am still over US$17.000 short, due to their mistakes.
BetCris decided to not address any of the questions but I was also quite busy building my site lately, which is why I put this problem to rest for now.

Though I have to admit that it will be no easy task to make them stand for their errors, I will make sure that this matter is going to get the attention it earns! My site will go online soon and besides a detailed report about this desaster there, I will make people aware of this through public forums and newsgroups. If there is no agreement by the time of ICEi and CAP in January, I will look for more routes to deal with this from there.
The very least I can do next is to alert as many potential and existing customers of bookmaker/ BetCris Casino & sportsbook as possible about the happenings at this Costa Rican company.
