I almost hate that I am replying. There seems to be a total lack of intelligence here. Everyone should read between the lines here and let this go, I think we know who is twisting what.

We should all be paid a $25 bonus for having been forced to read this whole thread just to figure out the answer to a single question. :flush:

What a load of :flush:, I have been a Ace player at Lake Palace for years and signed up through a webmaster. I play at several other groups and to this day I have never received so many e-mail offers and CD’s in the post as I have from CGB.
You just lost me as a player aswell, but I guess you coulden’t give a shit since you are ripping of webmasters and generating lots of extra revenue anyway.

Our needs are simple, the player brought in by us is ours and NOT yours to steal in any way, live with it or loose lots of “free” addspace.

    Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the late reply as I was not in the office.

Wow , I don’t know how this started or who started this roamer but let me set the record straight.

Firstly, we at grand prive pride our self’s in making our affiliates happy and we will never (as some some said )rob our affiliates.

Yes , we are the first to have single sign on and the only purpose for this is to make it easier for our players to play at our casino. This in NO way affects our affiliates.

Let me start by explaining the benefits of single sign on. This means players can use one account number at all our casinos and transfer their cash from one casino to the next.

NOW….let me explain how affiliates earn commission at our Group.

If an affiliate sends us a player , the player is tagged with the affiliates tag and the affiliate then starts earning commission on what ever the player spends.

With single sign on it works exactly the same way.

Again single sign on does not affect our affiliates as this is how it is done.

If affiliate A brings player 1 to Casino Grand bay he will get his commission on what ever the player spends at this casino.

If affiliate B brings in the same player to Jupiter Club it is only fair to give affiliate B the commission that the player spends in Jupiter club.

Therefore a Player will only be tagged to an affiliate per casino and not per Group.

I would like conclude in saying this, I do not appreciate some people twisting my colleges words and posting some thing if they are unsure about any thing at our Group.

To all my affiliates, I will never lie to you and you may contact me at any time to discuss any thing you are not sure about.

I would appreciate my affiliates contacting instead of listening to roamers.

    Kind regards
    Irwin

Not sure what a roamer is, but I don’t think I like being called one. Or maybe you are calling the thread a roamer?

If so, it only “roamed” because I could not get an answer to a simple yes or no question.

I am in London and have had the opportunity to talk to several other microgaming programs and they are definitely not going to steal players by crosspromoting without crediting the affiliate who generated the player.

This is just not done in this industry, and whoever introduced this to your program made a huge mistake because an affiliate would be a fool to send you players when you can just move them to another casino and quit paying rightfully earned commissions.

I hate to think of the commissions lost over the past year while we were simply not aware of this scheme.

    Thats good, fixes are good.

All you need to do is look at all the other microgaming groups to see how it’s done.

Would you forgive them again if they would do some other tricks and would fix them again? How many agains do one need? How many “positive” threads do one need to read here:3eyes:

I forgot my password and sign up name so i had to sign up a second time ( sorry for duplicate accounts )

Anyway, Ive had the pleasure of reading each and every post and I have to say that I have seriously never taken down a group of banners so fast in my life. I dont really care what the out come is after reading this comment.

    Quote:
What you also need to take into account is what about the 90% of our Player Base That we Bring in from other Sources outside of Affiliates and Cross Marketing.

If affiliates only acount for 10% of your players ( traffic ) then im sure you will only lose 10% of your traffic & players when we all take your banners, links and reviews off our sites.

Im sure 10% is nothing to such a big company like Grand Prive.

PS: Most affiliates were not born yesterday. We know world wide that affiliate send you alot more than 10% of your database.

Are you saying that 90% of your player database comes from mags and newspapers? Get a grip !

That comment alone made me hurry up and sign up for CAP again:)

That’s very true. Once taken down I wouldn’t really give them a quick second chance either. It’s not as if they came forward with this information voluntarily.

    Point Of Clarification

For general info. I met with Microgaming at ICE and they explained that Grand Prive have the Beta of the new MG affiliate backend which carries the “one wallet” (single sign-on) solution. This will be rolled out and I believe that Miles meant, when saying “lots more MGS will go this way” he means that they will get the affiliate system.

Additionally, MG clarified that “single sign-on” does not mean affiliate tags are dropped when players cross over to different casinos by default.

So, while GP may or may not choose to drop tags, the default in the new MG aff system does not. It would be the decision of a casino group if they follows this path.

Thanks for the breakdown Simmo, thats good to know. I am a little surprised that microgaming even gives their licensees the option to steal from affiliates like that, but I would like to think none are stupid enough to do it. Time will tell I guess.

So let me get this straight, GP has been stealing these players for how long now? Everytime I see shit like this, I keep saying to myself how greedy can they be, but they always manage to find a way to top the last greedy einsteen. I just don’t get it, especially rocking the boat with your bread and butter.

I don’t know that they do…I didn’t ask if there was an override.

Ahh, glad you clarified that. I didn’t mean to be putting words in your mouth. :hattip: If anyone that talked to them this weekend was able to ascertain this, I would be interested in knowing. But I guess if programs are intent on stealing our players through cross promoting them and not giving affiliates credit, it really doesn’t matter if players have a single sign on account or not, they are still going to be house deals.

I wonder just how big of a mess this will be if other programs implement it. To me its just another reason for them to justify saving a few bucks and not paying an affiliate on a particular player that goes on to play at other casinos starring him/her right in the face through this single signon. Most of the shit that goes on we aren’t privy to anyway, this whole deal is a great example. A year down the road and thousands of dollars in commissions gone, this comes out. Thats convenient. Point being that we do not even know whats really going on under the hood, I guess thats the kind of faith we put into programs to be fair with us and do the right thing which most do, I think.

But I would caution affiliates to be very careful in getting back into bed with a program that has already shown their true colors. The only difference here is they got called out on it, and still they tried to slime their way out of it. I bet Miles is one of the few men in this world that can win an argument with his old lady. Before she knows it, she forgets what the hell she was arguing in the first place with all that double talk. Us smart men know you wonderful ladies are always right.

This thread was a very interesting read.

GP has been using the Simple Screw-Over (SSO) system for a year or so. As someone who signed up to only one of their casinos, I can firmly say that their cross-marketing efforts are relentless! Three, four, five or more emails every single day until I finally used the Unsubscribe link which, thankfully, actually worked.

I agree with the others who have said that people shouldn’t be so quick to give them another chance. How long will it be before they figure out the next great way to bite the hand that feeds them?

They avoided the question (note how that’s not plural – it was only ONE question they needed to answer) by replying with 2 or 3 copies of the same long-winded post about the price of eggs in China, and then they have the audacity accuse those who participated in the thread of being “roamers” ? What a great way to do business! :flush:
