Schleswig-Holstein Awards 5 Sports Betting Licenses

Despite its current issues, Schleswig-Holstein has awarded five sports betting licenses. The successful five new applicants include: Ladbrokes, 888 , Admiral Sportwetten (Rellingen), Admiral Sportwetten (Gumpoldskirchen in Austria) and Cashpoint Malta Ltd (Malta) and they all now have access to the lucrative German online gaming market.
Even though these gaming licenses have been handed out, they will be strictly enforcing the laws as stated by Interior Minister Andreas Breitner who told the parliament: “The applications will continue to be handled promptly, the decisions are of course in accordance with applicable law and order.”
Some of the big names in the online gaming industry already have licenses like bwin.party, Betfair, JAXX SE and Die NordwestLotto as they were all granted licenses from Schleswig-Holstein and are now able to offer all sports betting across Germany.
The licenses are authorized through until August 26, 2018 and there are more sports betting application in line for approval.
Affiliates: Get Ready for Germany
Now that these German licenses have been approved and more on the way, affiliates must capitalize on this emerging legal market and begin to join affiliate programs offered by these well-known gaming brands.
Affiliates should also begin to regionalize their brands with German languages and provide updated promotions offered by the affiliate programs they promote.
