Online poker fans in Italy can now login and go head-to-head with new Ferrari F1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella after the sportsman signed a deal to serve as an ambassador for PartyPoker.it.
Fisichella is known as a fierce competitor on and off the track and PartyPoker.it revealed that the Italian made a big impression with his high-octane performance at the Sports Stars Challenge IV event in London earlier this year.
"Poker has become a very popular pastime in the paddock in recent months with many of the drivers," said 36-year-old Fisichella.
"I have joined two new teams recently and am delighted to be in pole position as a new ambassador for PartyPoker.it."
PartyPoker.it is celebrating Fisichella's arrival with a series of daily freerolls giving players a shot at winning a slice of a €500 prize pool. In addition, the site revealed that winners would receive a unique shirt signed by Fisichella. Open to residents of Italy only, seats for the Fisichella €500 Freeroll will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis between now and October 31.
