Limit the Number of Links on a Page
Most search engines are okay with as many as 125 links on a single page. Start getting more than that and the spiders will think they’ve discovered an old fashioned link farm. (Remember those?)
Google does not like link farms and sites that it believes are trying to manipulate results without providing good content. There’s some debate about the difference between a link farm and a directory, but why take chances?
