Long considered the best poker show on television by casual players and hardcore fans alike, GSN's High Stakes Poker will return to air for its 5th season on March 1.
Ripples of worry reverberated through the poker community last year when strong rumours that the show had been axed were circulated. However, this was evidently untrue and the 5th season was filmed in December.
Participants will include old favourites Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu and Patrik Antonius. Also in the line-up this season are Howard Lederer, Joe Hachem, Dario Minieri, Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies and Tom "durrrr" Dwan.
The show is a televised cash game of No Limit Hold ‘em with $300/$600 blinds and a running ante of $100. This season the minimum buy-in has been upped to $200,000.
