A 43-year-old woman from rural England who only entered her bingo club to use the toilet has earned a staggering £187,000.
She decided to play a little bingo to pass the time while her son and husband were busy elsewhere and wound up richer than she could ever imagine.
"My nine-year-old son was at cub camp and my husband went to a pub with friends to watch Doncaster Rovers in the playoff, so I decided I might as well go to Gala," said the woman, who would not even be a Gala Bingo member if she had not one day heeded nature's call in the bingo hall.
"I went to the pub to break the news to him and he was already happy that Doncaster beat Leeds," she said. "He thought I was joking at first. We both woke at 2:30 a.m. the next morning and couldn't get back to sleep. I just can't take it in and have to keep pinching myself. It's a nice feeling."
