Brunson's autobiography is out next week

Next Wednesday will see the autobiography of one of the most respected figures in poker, Doyle Brunson, hit the bookstores featuring incredible tales alongside never before seen photographs.

Featuring a foreword from Mike Cochran alongside endorsements by Bluff Magazine, Nolan Dalla, Mike Sexton, Mike Caro and Allyn Jaffrey Shulman, The Godfather Of Poker tells the story of how a kid from the small town of Longworth, Texas, eventually became one of the sport's biggest names.

At 372 pages, The Godfather Of Poker reveals how Brunson's father used to play poker to help support his family while relating the future legend's five-time appearance before the disciplinary board at Hardin-Simmons University for his extracurricular activities.

A good basketball player, Brunson was destined for the Minneapolis Lakers of the NBA before a knee injury saw him enter the world of poker.

The Godfather Of Poker is out on November 11 with a cover price of $26.95 in the US and $34.99 in Canada. However, numerous sources have reported obtaining a pre-ordered copy from Amazon.com for $17.79.
