Your #1 Revenue Source

rasputin asked 3 years ago
Hi, guys

Just wanted to find out what other people view as their #1 source of income for gambling affiliations. For me it’s always been email marketing but when I provided an offer on this forum for other webmasters to build optin list, luck of response surprised me … perhaps I’m going all wrong about it?

So go ahead, speak your mind; what type of gambling affiliate marketing is the most profitable for you?

It gets into a catch 22 realy, how do you get a big email list with no good rank, and if you have a good rank the email list is not so important

:clapper:

That is exactly what I was thinking also, and why I asked the question about spamming. As for as I see it you can only build up a good user base if;
a) you have been around for a long time
b) Have a very good rank on the search engines.

Hi Dominique

Do you know if those 3rd party services such as aweber and mailermailer support an existing list of people that have already subscribed to our newsletter?

I use mailermailer and you don’t worry about spam reports, they handle things very well, including optins, double optins, whatever you want.

I am irregular about sending it though, I need to buckle down and get more regular.

email marketing for casinos.. who does that :shooter:

I do. Over the past few months Ive gained over 5,000 subscribers. Thats not much compared to the lists I can build for internet marketing but its a good start. I set up a few followups and I also send a broadcast about once per week. It’s a good way to bring my visitors back to my website since I don’t have high rankings yet.

What rasputin is talking about is actually a very strong list building tactic for the internet marketing industry. I’ve participated in them before and gained over 1000 subscribers in a week. I’ve never seen it used in the online gambling industry but if done right can be very effective.

So for 1 free gift you get say 500 addresses, then your randomly pick one person to get it right..

What he is referring to is a digital product. Something that is intangible and highly related to the gambling industry. This could be a poker guide that you normally sell or an odds calculator or something. The higher the perceived value is to the potential subscriber the more likely they are to opt in so they can get it for free.

I Think my best revenue comes from ads I buy at non gambling sites. For instance I have a site wide banner ad on a website that sells knock off designer handbags ,the bags goes for $400+ so it is high end knockoffs.I get alot of decent depositors from there.Sometimes we have to think outside of the box .

Almost, except site is hosted on my domain and out of same fear of been banned from host for spam, I have no intentions to email all users. I participate same as other JV partners – offer my gift and will get whatever subscribers will want it. For all mailings I use only aweber, and in order to get users on that list I have to present them with something they want. So to answer you question – everyone has equal chances, or clsoe to it. Like you said – person who get it right have a lot more chances.

Anyway, this is last post answering any questions related to the giveaway on this thread from me. This poll was started to learn what people find most profitable and I think it was pretty much clearly answered

OK, since there are questions, I’ll answer. There is a way to build a maillist even if your site doesn’t have many visitors. In Internet Marketing it has been done on daily bases and in fact that is how I’m building my list, about 95% of my subscribers became such through what is known as JV Giveaway. That is exactly what I’m offering right now, only targeting very specific niche – gambling. Here are bases how it works, applied to my JV Giveaway:

1. 300 JV Partners join event, each partner contributes a free gift that will be visible in member’s section.
2. Once event begins each JV partner markets it using whatever means he has, email, website, forums, etc.
3. Members invited by JV partners register on site and get access to all JV partners gifts list. But they are not mailed by anyone, including myself. If they like a gift and would like to have it for free they follow a link where specific JV partner, offering gift, has a subscription form. Once they subscribed – they get their gift.

Subscribers are not shared by anyone, in order to get him or her on your list – you have to offer a gift they will want to receive in exchange for subscription. So as you can see that is an answer for “catch 22” and there is a way to get double optin subscribers, even if you don’t have traffic to your site.

Quality of Your gift determines how many subscribers you will get, quality of Your mailings determines how many of them you will be able to retain. Simple.

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to make things clear. Please use my other post for any specific questions on my offer.

H Ras,

for me … even though I have a list of emails that I could send out to … I am so afraid of being accused of spam that I don’t even send out mass mail to those that have opted in for it.

isn’t that crazy? but to me its not worth it to lose a domain … or rather hosting for a domain to risk sending out.
