WordPress is Awesome

JillO asked 3 years ago
It’s true. WordPress is a really awesome CMS that we absolutely recommend. First and foremost, it makes developing dynamic websites quite easy, it has massive capabilities and ummm… yeah… it’s free solution.

For affiliates, there are some great ways that you can utilize WordPress that can really take your site to the next level. We’ve laid out 5 pretty easy steps here to check-out.

Anyone have feedback on WP overall? Do you love it or hate it? If you hate it- how come? Have you had better luck with different CMS’s? Interested in hearing what the word on the street is.

Just to weigh in with my two-pence (or two cents)…

Totally, 100% agree. WordPress is definitely the best CMS out there, and ultra easy to configure and set up. Even for a complete newbie, WordPress couldn’t be easier. For the most basic blog, you could be up in running in 5 minutes. The countless themes, plug-ins and tight support network means you can customise every single element of your site, without being a coding expert.

What I found most helpful is the large committed community of developers, users and all-around enthusiasts which has grown around WordPress. If you get stuck setting up your new site, you can query the extensive knowledge base or just ask. Someone’s bound to know the answer and more than willing to help you out..

I’ve used WordPress to set up my own site, below. Still a work in progress.

Good luck!

I’ve played around with WordPress on a few sites, and it is definitely a fantastic content management program. It makes it so easy to add new pages and content to your website, not to mention all the great plugins that are available. I would have made all of my websites WordPress if I knew about it earlier, too late now <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

This is not the first time I’ve heard this, actually. Once people discover WordPress, they usually don’t go back to any other CMS.

Now. it’s about conquering PlugIns and understanding what ones are the best and how to utilize them to the fullest ability.

I came a across a cool Infographic recently, courtesy of WPJedi. Thought it would be cool to share. Lays out some insightful info pretty nicely <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

What makes WordPress also quite impressive is how SEO friendly it can be. Plugins are a life saver and make easy work of what is usually hard work eg tables, sitemaps, seo tags – pretty much whatever you think your website or blog might need.

Like ramtash, I can setup a site in a couple of hours using wordpress, and have it ready for google indexing in a matter of hours.
