I build for about 760 wide.

I’ve got a 24 inch widescreen monitor but I surf in a much reduced window and run a lot of other applications at the same time
(eg mail, poker table, a spreeadsheet etc).

800×600 is the lowest common denomenator. Not many people left on that size, but if you check your webstats you should see 15% or so. Most people are at 1024×768.

Agree – all my sites have always been done in 800×600, but its time to start making changes. 1024×768 is the way to go now.

I will resize mine to 1024×768. I have alot of work ahead of me. Did anyone have a chance to take a look at mine.. do you like the design. I may end up just going with a genetic protal look. To resize what i made would have to be 100% redone. :unhappy:

The design is not bad, but its hard to really get a good picture when it’s so large like that. I think if you reduce the overall size, the design will take on a much more appealing look.

I took a look at your site, its so simple its perfect, fast load times.. easy to update. No hassle moving things around and playing with frames. I think i am going to redesign it all together and give it a simple look with loads of content

Thanks for the really nice compliment! I was just starting to think I should change the design, that maybe it was too simple….but I guess simple is always best for the customer’s benefit.
