poker to me…

I’ve just read an example of a webmaster online for one month or two, no PR, no pages indexed, and already a couple of players.

Ok, that’s no proof, but just what i think a trend showing that poker converts much better and easier than casinos…maybe because it is something new ?

Sportsbetting is huge in the US. People may not talk about it all the time, since it is widely considered illegal. However, it IS big.

Getting traffic is about content. So it depends on what kind of content you can generate. In my case it is 90% casino.

If sports betting is not big in America then please explain why off shore sportsbooks make in excess of several billion dollars profit a month.

Online sportsbooks and sports betting is huge online right now, and even today I only see a few affiliates take advantage of the money making opportunity.

Things to note when recruiting a sports bettor over a casino gambler

>> Average life time value is 5 times higher than a casino player
>> Average life time retention is 2.5 years
>> Players are more difficult than casino players to recruit but who cares when the value of a sportsbook player is five times greater

Please take a few moments to checkout http://www.9am.com and make money this weekend from bringing in players to bet on the Breeders Cup!!!

I think poker is in the midst of it’s explosion. This is where most of the new online players are heading, since it has become so popular in the US. Dom has a good point, it is easiest to promote what you know the most about. Creating a lot of useful and relevant content for your users is easier if you know about the subject, and helps your site’s usability as well as it’s ranking in the SERPs.

I think sports betting will get bigger. An interesting story, in Canada any winnings from gambling of any type is tax free. There is a guy in Montreal who for the last decade makes a very good living off sports betting. The Government is trying to go after him for taxes, sayings its a job. But the reality is all his winnings are tax free. Apparently is uses a algorithm program to find the best odds, interesting. greek39

What has happened to sports betting?

I am predicting online poker is going to explode soon. I get asked more and more about online poker. But I think casinos convert the best now but not for long. greek39
