I am Russian and work at Russian market (sorry for my bad English). Russian language -this is not only Russia – this is all former USSR Republics including 3 EU States (Baltic States) + State of Israel (10-15% speak Russian).

I think France. Germany, Spain and Scandinavia are obvious choices, although we don’t do those markets yet. I am surprised that Portuguese is considered a small market since Brazil is so huge and all…

Anyways, we believe in the Eastern European markets, that’s our thing, that’s what we are good at.

Hi GamTrak,

I’ve been promoting in Portugal for nearly 3 years now and it used to be my biggest market, but since beginning of 2008 the market just went down and down. I guess it’s the crisis together with saturation, there’s only 10 million ppl there (small country). On top of that not many ppl have internet connections, compared to other countries. I have many friends there and family and believe or not they’re even afraid to buy on Amazon, imagine how hard it is for them to give credit card details to a casino .
I’m doing much better with a few US players that I have than with the whole lot of Portuguese players I got over the years.

In my opinion I think that markets like Holland and Germany and France are hotter at the moment, at least that’s what I’m considering trying out now.

Good luck,
Pedro

For those that do promote other markets, I’d like to know if you have a domain in that market as well.

I heard that the Portugal market is hot right now and plan on expanding to other markets this year.

Keep an eye on the next issue of CAP Mag which should be with you next week as Gary Beal (the SEO mod here) has written a great 3 page article on geo targeting markets through SEO and specifically google from specific TLDs to subdomains. Very interesting reading
