Be careful with SEO softwares H as the search engines really dislike them and often adapt their algos to penalize pages optimized using software such as SEOElite and Webpositon Gold.
You can generally acheive better results doing optimization manually.

There are many free resources out on the web for doing SEO. As the professor said, be careful with using automated programs that submit to search engines, or take up search engine resources in other ways. You would be best served spending some time reading through the forums at seochat.com before jumping into SEO, it will save you time and heartache if you understand the playing field first. I spent over a month reading the forum daily before deciding on an SEO strategy.
