Using PPC

CJ99 asked 3 years ago
I used to make some affiliate bucks from casinos and I am exploring the idea again.

Is anyone having any success with the PPC search engines?

Since Google quit accepting Gaming sites and the keyword costs have skyrocketed I was wondering if this is even feasible on any of the 2nd tier search engines?

I’ve never had success waiting on the SEs to pick me up.

Welcome to CAP, CJ!

Most PPCs are not very good anymore.

I will move this thread into the ppc forum where others may have some better replies than this!

I agree. I experimented with all the second tier search engines (MIVA, EPilot, GoClick, Findology and many more…) and not one of them led to conversions. If you do decide to go with them look out for click fraud. We had problems with clicks from the EPilot network and it was a lot of hassle to get our money refunded.

Not having much luck converting traffic from the 2nd tier PPCs either. A lot of fraudulent traffic out there. Definitely avoid Findology, Searchfeed and Clicksor.

I know of one friend who has his whole net business model based on PPC.
However, he’s in the travel visa business … and only pays cents per click.

Gambling seems to be a hot area, and PPC fees are high, therefore attracting the scammer site element to a lot of PPC bids hoping to collect 50% of the revenue.

I tmight sound like a lousy job (clicking links fraudulently) and a poor hourly rate to you and I … but in some countries it’s a pretty good living.

Be careful out there guys and girls …

Although I do not have stats of how ppc converts into real players I think I do good with 7search.com

Hmmm. Then I guess SEO is the only way to drive traffic to your site?

How about paid bulk email like this one:
http://www.targetedwebsitevisitors.com?

Well, quality link exchanges would be one other method. There are tons of ways to drive traffic to your site outside of PPC and SEO, you just need to think creatively.
